An unremarkable detective, Douglas Colt, and his daughter, Alexander, a student at a local state school, live a low-class life, navigating a society sharply divided by wealth. At school, Alexander helps Yun, a girl being bullied. This leads Alexander to befriend Yun's twin sister, Yuni, but the twins are a 'taboo' that must not be touched.
Through Yuni, a request comes to Alexander's father's detective agency. This request dramatically changes Alexander's fate. A small act of kindness summons evil, and the lid on a hidden conspiracy is opened. This is the story of a father-and-daughter detective duo who find themselves pursued by an unseen plot.
